The Inland Empire Legal Aid (IELA), formerly known as Spokane Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP), was established in 1985, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit legal assistance program of the Spokane County Bar Association (SCBA). IELA strives to create a just and equitable society where all individuals, regardless of race or ethnicity, or sexual orientation, have equal access to legal services and justice. IELA operates out of Spokane County but does its best to help Pend Oreille, Ferry, Stevens and Lincoln counties. The IELA is supported by the Legal Foundation of Washington (LFW), SCBA members, and members of the community - like you!
IELA's mission is to connect low-income community members needing legal services to legal education and to pro bono professionals. The IELA strives to help low-income community members (within 200% of the Federal Poverty Level) help themselves with civil legal matters by providing legal education and advice through clinics, events and classes. The IELA's primary focus is Family Law, but the program also assists with consumer issues, and limited wills/estates.

KCBA Housing Justice Project🧡🩵
Justice Services
KCBA Housing Justice Project provides free legal aid to households at risk of eviction and during the eviction process at Court. Tenants can visit the Pre-Eviction clinic at the Downtown Library for counsel and advice from an attorney or receive representation to settle a potential eviction to avoid having a case filed, get assistance with reasonable accommodations, deal with landlord harassment and poor living conditions, and access rental assistance or other service referrals. Latino Civic Alliance 🩵

The Latino Civic Alliance is a nonprofit organization based in Spokane, Washington, dedicated to supporting the community through targeted programs. They provide fentanyl education along with Narcan distribution and training to help prevent overdoses and save lives. In addition, they offer a workforce development program that helps individuals gain skills and access employment opportunities, as well as a youth violence prevention program that supports at-risk youth with guidance, resources, and positive pathways forward.
League of Women Voters of the Spokane Area ⭐🧡

League of Women Voters Spokane Area is a nonpartisan civic organization supporting community voice and democratic participation. At Spokane Homeless Connect we will provide free voter registration, voting rights information, and civic engagement resources. Our volunteers help guests navigate elections and understand how to advocate for their civic rights and participate locally.

Life Services is a medical clinic (also a mobile clinic at Valley Assembly on Fridays) providing all free services including pregnancy tests, STD testing and treatment, well-woman's exams, limited ultrasounds, a boutique with baby and maternity clothing, a parenting mentorship program and a fatherhood support group.

LCSNW Victim Advocacy provides free and confidential advocacy services to victims, survivors, loved ones, and witnesses of traumatic events. We provide these services regardless of whether or not the incident was reported to law enforcement or is being prosecuted. Victim advocacy offers support, information and referral to resources, and specific wrap-around support so people can make informed and empowered decisions.
